Our trip to Melbourne was awesome and I took so many pictures I want to share with you. If you have some time and money left I highly recommend a trip to Melbourne and the Great Ocean Road. It is really worth it!
We booked the cheapest flight we could get and hired a Camper Van to save some money on accommodation. It is a good way to travel, because you always have a place to sleep and a kitchen to prepare some food. We were lucky to find an Aldi store where we got wine for $2,50, a real bargain.
Melbourne is a very nice city which offers many sights. The first day we spent sightseeing. There is a free tram and a free bus line heading for the most important sights where you can hop on and off.

We left the Great Ocean Road to look for a camp site and suddenly we were in the middle of the rain forest. It was quite terrifying that night, because it was almost dark, but the next day it looked beautiful.

Next day we did the last part of the Great Ocean Road. We saw the Twelve Apostles (funny name because there are now only eleven or even less Apostles) and afterwards we watched the sunset at the Bay of Islands.

The rock formation called the London Bridge (below) was connected to the mainland until 1990. When it collapsed a couple were trapped on it and had to be rescued by a helicopter.

The following night was the only one we stayed at a camping ground and unfortunately that was the only time we had a hot shower. You can find showers at the beach, but of course they are cold.
Anyway, the trip was incredible.
